Can I bring my own vendors? 

Absolutely! We want you to have your event the way you dream it! That means bringing the vendors you want to help make that dream come true!

Vendors must provide Liability Insurance. Such insurance shall name Whitney Farm Estate, LLC as additional insured, and a certificate of insurance with an endorsement must be provided 30 days prior to the event.

Do you have on-site accommodations? 

Yes, WFE sleeps 22 people within the house. Lodging is available less than 6 miles at the Oxford Casino or Hampton Inn.

Will other events be hosted at WFE during my event?

NO! Our packages start at Check-in Friday and Check-out Sunday. You reserve the entire property to yourself for the duration of your contract.

How many people fit inside the barn? 

The barn has been approved for a 200-person capacity event; depending on layout and details of your event may determine options outside the barn are needed such as catering, cocktail hours, etc. Please connect with WFE to discuss further. 

Are there on-site bathrooms for events? 

Currently there are no onsite bathrooms for events at WFE. Any events 75 guests or less may use the facilities within the house. For those larger than 75 guests, we do supply a recommended vendor list which includes rental port-a-potties and bathroom trailers.

What is your alcohol policy? 

All liquor must be served by an Insured Licensed Bartender for the duration of the event. The bar needs to close 1 hour before the music has ended. We recommend connecting with Renee from Strange Events to discuss more since this is something she offers through her company. www.strangeevents.org 

What deposit is due at signing? 

Half of contracted amount plus $500.00 security deposit due at time of signing.

What is WFE Clean-up requirements? 

Rental of the Estate include cleaning of all linens and rooms after your departure, so no additional setup/cleaning is needed of the clients.

Rental/use of the Barn requires clients to return Barn and surrounding lawns back to original condition. Rental need to be stacked in accordance with rental company requirements and be ready for pick up. Barn must be swept out (brooms are supplied in closet), windows and doors closed before departing property. Barn counter tops (bar and catering tops) must be wiped down and clean. All trash/recycling must be removed from Barn and in appropriate receptacles.

We recommend connecting with Renee from Strange Events if the cleanup is not something that you want to handle the weekend of your event. The Event Staff can handle this for you so you may enjoy your time here. 

What is WFE decoration requirements/restrictions? 

Due to the antique nature of the barn, we want to keep it in great condition as long as possible, meaning decorations may not be hung with tape, nails, or screws inside or on the outside of the barn. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages. No confetti or glitter. Any hay used as a decoration will need to be cleaned up, per clean up requirements. We do want you to have the perfect event, so should you run into issues hanging something up, WFE is open to discussing decoration needs and finding a solution.

May I have rehearsal on-site? 

Yes absolutely. The property is yours to use from Friday- Sunday. Many couples use the back yard and grill for the perfect small rehearsal space!

Does the barn have heat or A/C? 

The barn at WFE is heated, but not cooled- all windows and doors do open for a breeze.
